WELCOME

The Coché Center, LLC, is a special place. It is a transformational clinical community for adults and the people they love most. It is a place where they can learn to live the dreams of their lives, a place where couples can learn to couple successfully without divorce, a place where families grow together emotionally ...

Since The Coché Center, LLC began in 1976, our goal has been to provide the highest level of competence and expertise in both clinical psychological services and public education. We provide services to our clients in psychotherapy, which include psychological evaluation, psychodiagnostic assessment, counseling, onsite workshops, family work, and public education. We provide services to the media in public education. We provide services to the academic and professional communities in teaching and training at the undergraduate, graduate, and post graduate levels. In 2010, The Coché Center, LLC celebrated its 35th anniversary of education and service.

The Husbands and Wives Club: A Year In the Life of a Couples Therapy Group.

Award winning documentary journalist, Laurie Abraham, spent two years in one of the couples therapy groups at The Coché Center observing the group and taping it. Her documentary, based on her personal observations of her group experience provide an insightful look at marriage and marriage therapy. She combines her group observations with a commentary about Dr. Coché's work and interviews with other marital experts. For more information about this work, go to the 'Writings' section of this website, as well as to the publisher,
Simon & Schuster. The book can be purchased on Amazon.

A newspaper column instead of a blog

Despite requests to do a blog, Dr. Coché prefers to educate the public about mental health through her newspaper colum for the
Cape May County Herald. This column, "Making Life Work," has been running for two years and covers topics which include happiness, emotional abuse, anxiet and depression, shyness, being successfully single, addictions, and a variety of problems encountered by many adults. You can view the columns here.
